Tagged: SGLT2 inhibitors, Stage 4/5 CKD
Hi there,
I am a MCKC pharmacist at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is any drug company that would offer compassionate supply of SLGT2 inhibitors for CKD patients.
Thanks,
Winnie
Try yourassistance@bioadvancemail.ca or call 1-833 358 0642 for Invokana
Dapagliflozin also has a patient assistance program.
How it works is they send 3 mo supply to the prescribing doctor’s office. Then you have to write or call them every 3 months to have ongoing supply. I believe the canagliflozin program will mail direct to the patient and you do not need to reapply q3months.

Thanks Marianna and Lori!
Hi Lori,
FYI. I just checked with the AstraZeneca Rep, if it’s purely for CKD they won’t cover it.
Thanks,
Winnie
