Hey everyone,
We are in the process of creating a new policy for pharmacist led management of phosphate, calcium and PTH. We are looking for examples of policies or algorithms that other health authorities are willing to share. Would love to see what other provinces and regions are doing in this area.
Thanks,
Sarah Fennell
Hi Sarah,
We don’t have a formal algorithm for this, but I’d be really interested to see what other sites are using if you’re willing to share!
Katie
Thanks for your response Katie! I know Alberta has one and maybe New Brunswick. It’s a complicated process so it would be nice to simplify it as best we can.
Hi Sarah,
BC Renal has a Mineral Bone Disease management tool that you could refer to: http://www.bcrenal.ca/resource-gallery/Documents/mineral-bone-disease-management-tool.pdf
Thank you for replying, Elaine. We have looked at this resource as well.
